In the northern part of Gryt's archipelago, 6 nautical miles from the port of Fyrudden in Östergötland lies the island of Harstena. The island has a long history and we know from old tax records that it was inhabited as early as 1543. The island is known for its well preserved archipelago setting and also for the trade that was conducted in the early days. In addition, Harstena features grand nature scenes and is somewhat of an idyll in the outermost part of the archipelago with its small red cabins around Båtsviken bay.
