Fishing with hand devices like casting rods and fishing rods is allowed free of charge in the archipelago although some areas are restricted parts of the year to protect sensitive plants and animals. The free fishing is an extended part of the Swedish right of common access but with it comes the responsibility not to do any harm to the environment, at sea as well as on land. Fishing in the archipelago usually means a good catch so don't bring more fish than you need and don't leave fish out on the rocks. In the waters around Harstena there's plenty of pike, perch, Baltic herring and cod but also salmon and whitefish. Happy fishing!
